Three Sessions, One Household at a Time

Roundkin offers three formats designed for different needs and time commitments — each producing a tangible take-home result that your household keeps.

Our Methodology

How Roundkin Runs Its Sessions

Every Roundkin session follows the same underlying structure: introduce the topic clearly, work through practical exercises with the participants, produce a physical output, and close by reviewing what has been built. No session ends without something the household can take away and use.

We do not use lecture-heavy formats. Facilitators guide rather than instruct, and participants are given time to apply ideas to their own household situation — not to a hypothetical one. This keeps the work grounded in what the family actually needs.

Materials are prepared for the Malaysian context. The Reference Binder structure, the conversation prompt categories, and the scanning checklists all reflect the kinds of records and communication patterns common to households in Penang and across Malaysia.

Family Reference Binder Session

Workshop 02

Family Reference Binder Session

A session in which your household builds a shared reference binder — a printed folder listing where your records and contacts live. The session stays focused on labelling and reference structure, not on opinions about specific household matters. You leave with a working draft binder and a labelled cover sheet.

  • Guided mapping of where household records currently live
  • Labelling and tab-structure decisions made during the session
  • Working draft binder built within the session
  • Labelled cover sheet for quick household reference

Session Steps

1

Scope clarification and record category overview

2

Household mapping — where does each record category currently live?

3

Tab and label decisions — agreeing on the binder structure

4

Building the working draft binder during the session

5

Our Standards

Shared Across All Workshops

Privacy Within Sessions

Household information discussed in workshops remains within the group and is not retained, recorded, or shared by Roundkin.

Scope Stated at the Start

Every session opens with a clear description of what will and will not be covered, so participants know what to expect from the beginning.

Reviewed Materials

Printed materials are reviewed before each session cycle to confirm that wording reflects current Malaysian administrative norms.

Experienced Facilitators

Sessions are led by facilitators with backgrounds in group communication and document administration — appropriate to the scope of what is taught.

Participant Feedback

Feedback is gathered after each session and between phases of the Records Programme to allow adjustments to pace and content.

Referral Clarity

When questions move outside our scope — into legal, financial, or health territory — we help participants identify the right professional category to consult.
